StreamAudio
Terms & legal
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Nature of the service
StreamAudio is a private, personal-use application. It is not a commercial product: it is not offered for sale, subscription, advertising, or other commercial exploitation by the operator of this site.
2. No server-side data storage
StreamAudio does not operate a database and does not store application data on the server for users, publishers, third-party users, or third-party applications.
In particular, this system does not record in a backend store:
- user account profiles or identity records;
- publisher / broadcaster profiles as a retained catalog;
- third-party user information; or
- third-party application information.
Access is gated by a shared site access code configured by the operator (environment variable). That code is not a per-user account system and is not stored as user data in an application database.
Any channel list you build is kept only in your browser's localStorage on your device. Clearing site data on that device removes it. A short-lived httpOnly session cookie is used solely to remember that the correct site access code was entered; it does not identify Kick users or publishers.
3. Personal use only
You may use StreamAudio only for lawful, personal listening. You must not use it to redistribute, rebroadcast, scrape at scale, monetize, or publicly offer Kick livestreams or related content through this application.
4. Third-party services (Kick)
StreamAudio interacts with Kick (and related delivery networks) to show channel metadata and to play livestream audio/video. Kick content, trademarks, and services remain the property of their respective owners. Your use of Kick is also subject to Kick's own terms and policies. StreamAudio is an independent personal tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Kick unless explicitly stated otherwise by Kick.
Playback may use undocumented viewer delivery paths and a same-origin media proxy required for browser playback. Those mechanisms carry stability and terms risk and may change or stop working without notice.
5. No warranties
StreamAudio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind—express or implied—including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy of live status metadata. Streams may fail, drop, or behave differently across devices and browsers.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of StreamAudio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the application.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of StreamAudio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Contact
StreamAudio is operated for personal use by its maintainer. For questions about these terms, contact the operator through the project repository or the contact method published with the deployment.
